Maiyeka Kelvin is a Partner at Maiyeka Kelvin Advocates, where he is attached to the firm’s Litigation and Dispute Resolution department. He has extensive experience in criminal law and has successfully represented clients facing serious charges, including terrorism, human trafficking, and drug-related offences, securing their release on bail pending trial.
His practice encompasses all stages of criminal proceedings, from arraignment and hearings to settlement conferences and mitigation during sentencing. Maiyeka’s criminal litigation experience spans the full judicial hierarchy, from subordinate courts to appearances before the Supreme Court of Kenya.
In addition to criminal litigation, he regularly appears before the Environment and Land Court, handling matters involving land fraud, breach of sale agreements, and related disputes.
Maiyeka is also a seasoned practitioner in employment and labour law, representing both employers and employees in the enforcement of the right to fair labour practices .

Through her company Elibrijim, she has built a strong reputation for delivering exceptional school and local transport services for children.
With a deep sense of responsibility and care, Theresiah understands that transporting children is not just a job—it is a duty that requires trust, patience, and professionalism. Every day, she works tirelessly to ensure that children are picked up and dropped off safely, on time, and in a friendly and secure environment. Parents and guardians appreciate her reliability, her attention to detail, and the peace of mind they feel knowing their children are in safe hands.
In addition to school transport, Theresiah also offers children’s local transport services, helping families move their children safely to various places such as school activities, learning programs, and community events.
Beyond daily transport, Theresiah goes the extra mile by organizing children’s tourist and educational trips, giving young learners the opportunity to explore, discover, and experience new environments outside the classroom. According to Ruth, ‘small’ or insignificant-seeming actions can have a significant impact on certain people, in a certain moment… … a small gift might mean the world to one person, while a large gift might be meaningless to another. Small can provide immediate relief and foster deep human connection; small, just as water is crucial when thirsty, can help when you are “low” (struggling); and small is hope as well as a “wellbeing boost” though sometimes temporary..
Furaha na heri is a “Small Steps” Community Service group focused on giving back to those in need through fundraising, volunteerism, education, and donations.
Furaha na heri is Ruth’s idea to transform grief into a project that reflects the spirit and passion of Mbare Ya Gitu’s beloved daughter, Lilian Wanjiku Gitu whose presence remains ever-present in the community where she helped individuals in need, mentored the neighbourhood kids, supported those in need through quiet but sincere impactful actions. Ruth is named after the late Mrs Ruth Wangui Gatumbi of Langata South. The first but not the ONLY.
Lilian Wanjiku Gitu’s legacy lives on through the people she touched. And this project is dedicated to her.

A Second Chance for Marurui: M. G.Mugo’s Mission to Restore Lives
In the heart of Roysambu, Nairobi, lies Marurui, a community full of potential, but also one that has faced the harsh realities of drug abuse for decades. Since 2002, one man has stood at the frontline of this fight: Geoffrey Mwangi Mugo.
Mugo’s journey began when he settled in Marurui in 1999. What he witnessed was heartbreaking. Young men, full of promise, were losing their future to drugs like chang’aa and bhang. School dropout rates soared. Families broke apart. Hope seemed distant.
But Mugo refused to look away.
Fighting Drugs with Purpose, Not Punishment
Through years of experience working with organizations like World Vision and Child Fund (CCF), and serving as Chairman of the Nairobi Integrated Program under CCF, Mugo learned a powerful truth:
Jail is not the solution. Transformation is.
Many young men who were arrested would return to the same environment and the same drugs. Mugo realized that what they needed was not punishment, but opportunity.
So he began building something different.
Restoring Lives Through Opportunity
Mugo’s approach focuses on long-term impact:
– Rehabilitation and mentorship programs
– Skills training and short courses
– Income-generating activities to restore dignity

Today, with the support of local leaders and well-wishers, an open space in Marurui is becoming a center of hope. Plans are underway to establish:
– A goat milk project
– Poultry farming
– A dairy cow initiative
These projects are not just businesses, they are lifelines. They provide jobs, purpose, and a way out of addiction. And importantly, there is already a ready market for milk, meat, and eggs, ensuring sustainability.
Mugo has also partnered with the Chief’s office to engage rehabilitated youth in activities like tree planting, giving them a sense of responsibility and belonging.
A Home for the Forgotten
Beyond his work with youth, Mugo also manages Great Hope Children’s Home in Zimmerman.
This rescue center is home to 40 children, many of whom have lost their parents or have parents who were imprisoned. It is a place where abandoned stories are rewritten with love, care, and opportunity.
But a new challenge is emerging.Ten of these children are about to turn 18.When they do, they will need to step into the world independently. Without proper support, they risk falling into the same cycle Mugo has spent decades fighting.

Fredrick is a graphic designer with a strong passion for creativity and visual expression. He is also highly talented in pencil drawing, a skill he discovered and began developing while still in high school. During this time, he spent much of his free time sketching, gradually sharpening his ability to bring ideas to life on paper.
As his interest in art grew, Fredrick saw the opportunity to expand his skills beyond traditional drawing. He transitioned into graphic design, where he combined his natural drawing talent with digital tools and modern techniques. This shift allowed him to create more diverse and impactful designs.
Today, Fredrick blends his background in pencil art with graphic design to produce creative and visually appealing work. He continues to grow his skills and remains dedicated to building a successful career in the creative industry.
