Joseph Gatimu is a young creative inspired and mentored by his father, Stephen Njoroge. Having grown up around art, Joseph developed a passion for creativity from an early age. He completed his secondary education in 2019 and chose to specialize in graphic design, a path that aligns with both his talent and his personal circumstances.
Due to a health condition, Joseph is unable to fully engage in his father’s banana fibre artwork, especially because of the glue and materials involved. However, this has not stopped him from pursuing his artistic journey. He has built his own path in the creative industry, excelling in tattoos, microblading, microshading, and ear piercing. His work is not only skillful but also a reflection of resilience and adaptability.
Joseph dreams of establishing his own workspace—a creative hub where he can practice his craft professionally and mentor young people who share the same passion. With proper tools, a stable workspace, and support, Joseph can grow his talent into a sustainable business while empowering others to follow their dreams.
- Rachael Wanjiru
Rachael Wanjiru is a determined young woman who completed her high school education in 2024. She is currently pursuing cosmetology, driven by a strong desire to build a career in beauty and self-care. Although her father supports her, the support is not always sufficient to fully meet her educational and personal needs.
Rachael is hardworking and resourceful. Alongside her studies, she engages in making mats and small carpets using crochet—an art she uses to support herself and develop her creative skills. Her dedication shows her willingness to work hard and build a better future.
Her dream is to complete her cosmetology training and eventually open her own cosmetics shop. In addition, she hopes to expand her creativity in handmade crafts, turning her crochet skills into a business.
With financial support, Rachael can complete her studies, gain independence, and establish herself as both a cosmetologist and a creative entrepreneur.
